EXPERT WITNESS PETER GELSEY

Mr. Gelsey’s expertise includes real estate practice, economics, valuation, investment and financial analysis, agency practice, diminution of value, highest and best use, standard of care, due diligence, transactions, brokerage, industry standards, and many other topics related to residential luxury real estate.   He is an economics graduate of Columbia University, New York and has 26 years of international banking, real estate, and corporate sales and marketing experience.   Mr. Gelsey holds the ABR – Accredited Buyer Representative designation of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), and has completed extensive coursework in key aspects of residential luxury real estate sales, marketing and related fields as well as graduate level MBA courses in international economics, accounting, international sales and marketing and related real estate oriented seminars and coursework.   Mr. Gelsey is President and principal broker of Wailea Makena Real Estate, Inc., a Maui residential real estate agency and brokerage focusing on the upper end of the luxury home and condo market.   He spent 8 years in the international banking and finance field and is well versed in foreign currency and cross-border exchange topics as they relate to his specialty field, real estate.   He is fluent in and offers his expert witness services in English, Portuguese, German, Spanish, and French.
